Although I am famous around my friends as being a jack of all trades, there is one “trade” that I am not that good at… cooking.
It might have something to do with the fact that growing up I was the tomboy in my family. See I have always liked spending time outdoors with my brother and his friends better than cooking in the house with my sister and my mom.
Nevertheless, the time came for me to learn how to cook at least one or two dishes. And since I have now perfected my pancaking skills, I am off to a new chapter in my cooking book: Meatloaf.
The Easiest Meatloaf Recipe Out There
The Easy Meatloaf I found among these best meatloaf recipes proved to be not so hard to handle. In only an hour I had myself a tasty brown sugar covered beef loaf to surprise my boyfriend with.
Mark liked the fact that I have tried so hard to prepare something other than pancakes, a bit better than the loaf itself, but still… I know it is not because of my cooking skills, Mark is not that big of a meatloaf fan.
Spice Things Up: Put Some Mushrooms in Your Meatloaf
Wait till you hear this story: Mark turned from a not so big of a fan to a total meatloaf enthusiast after trying my second attempt at a dinner.
The Easy Meatloaf with Mushroom Gravy was a huge hit. The mushroom gravy pairs perfectly with the turkey, onions and tomato juice in the loaf itself. All in all, it was an explosion of taste that didn’t leave anyone, including Mark’s mom indifferent. Now how is that for living a good impression on your future mother-in-law J.
Handle Meatloaf Like a Pro
As soon as I saw that mushrooms worked their magic with Mark (ok now this sounds a bit weird, but I am referring to regular mushrooms lol) I figured why not use them again? So, I went for another recipe that made use of mushrooms: The Mushroom-Stuffed Hamburger Meatloaf with Beer-Cheese Sauce Recipe.
Yes, you can guess by the name itself, this recipe is a bit more challenging and more time consuming than the previous two, but believe me, it is worth it. If you are a fan of unusual things like I am, then you are bound to like this one.
As for Mark, he couldn’t stop eating and ate nearly half of the loaf. Of course, every slice in his plate was drowned in the cheese sauce, which turned out to be the real star of the meal.
Who would have thought beer and milk can make for something that tasty!
I must admit, never in a million years would I have thought that I’d become such a meatloaf enthusiast, but thanks to these recipes, it has come to grow on me.
